Our Department Laboratory Facilities are used for both teaching and research purposes.

The main facilities are, a Materials technology laboratory, a Metal forming laboratory, a Diagnostic engineering laboratory, a CNC laboratory, a Robotics and CIM laboratory, a Machining research laboratory, a Laboratories of metrology and quality control and aNon-destructive testing laboratory.

In addition, there are metal cutting, welding, forming, and foundry workshops.

The department runs a production and consultation center, known as “Production engineering department special unit PEDSU” , that has an independent identity and offers services to local industries in both consultations and problem solving.

The PEDSU also manufactures parts and systems required for the different establishments.

PEDSU aims at helping the department to provide financial support for education, training and research to solve real-world problems.

PEDSU serves as training center for industrial establishments and individuals to increase productivity and learn up-to-date technologies.
