Our Lab Facilities

The labs that are available for teaching our students include:

Digital Circuits

This lab was recently innovated and now it includes FPGA development cards, we are in the process of purchasing an educational 5-axis robot arm

The Objective of this Lab is to train students to design and implement some of the digital circuits studied in digital courses.

The Equipment available includes IC Chips & Data sheets, IC Tester, Logic Testers, Power Aces, Breadboards, EPROM Eraser, and EPROM writer (software and hardware)

The Experiments for each academic year include

For the First Year Testing the basic digital gates, Designing some sequential circuits, Half & full adder, Half & full subtractor and Comparator.

For the Second Year Conversion from flip flops types, Analysis of synchronous circuit, Counters Design, Register Transfer, Designing Asynchronous circuits (pulse generator), Designing control unit using sequencer method, Designing control unit using the finite state machine method, Designing control unit using micro-programming.

Database Lab Provides the students with the State-of-the-Art DBMS facilities, which include ORACLE DBMS and SQL Server 2000.

Operating Systems Lab provides students with hands-on experience with operating systems concepts.

Digital Control Lab

The Scientific Computation Centre gives support to students along with various public training courses (such as using Windows, Unix, Internet, Office …). It also helps in managing the growing LAN in the Faculty Of Engineering and the network installed in the whole of the Alexandria University.
