Historical Background

The Chemical Engineering Department was first established in 1944 under the name Institute of Industrial Chemistry in the Faculty of Science. In 1956 it was relocated th the faculty of engineering under the name Chemical Engineering department.

The department aims at preparing the graduate to understand the basics of chemical engineering (material and energy balances, transport phenomena, economics, thermodynamics and kinetics, reactor design, process control, organic and inorganic technologies…).
