For more than 60 years now and since the graduation of its first graduates in 1942, the Department continued its academic mission for providing excellent educational and professional training.

Many academic systems have been implemented in the department of architecture from 3 academic years of specialized at the beginning, then five academic years in architecture to the final system of a preparatory year preceding four years in architecture that has been applied since 1967 – 1968.

The department vision is to attain excellence and become a regional leader in the education of architecture engineering and its allied professions and be internationally recognized lighthouse for architectural education, research and professional services.
